Red Seal is operated by AICHI GROUP PTY LTD (ABN 74 656 533 907). This policy explains how personal information provided to Red Seal may be collected, used, stored and disclosed. “Red Seal”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business operating under the Red Seal brand.

2. Information we collect

Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, contact preference, vehicle of interest, enquiry content and correspondence. A sourcing request may include your preferred make, model, specification, kilometres, approximate budget and a reference listing URL. Trade-in or service enquiries may include details of your vehicle and requested work.

If you proceed with a transaction, we may need additional information for sale, registration, finance introduction or legal compliance. Please do not send sensitive or unnecessary personal information through general website forms.

3. How we collect and use information

We collect information you provide through website forms, phone, email, in person and during vehicle or service transactions. We use it to respond to enquiries, provide vehicle information, arrange viewings and test drives, assess trade-ins, discuss sourcing options, assist with servicing or parts, progress agreed transactions, provide customer support and maintain required business records.

4. Vehicle and sourcing enquiries

When you contact us about a vehicle, we use your contact details and enquiry to respond, arrange access to the vehicle and follow up where appropriate. Vehicle detail pages direct enquiries to our Contact form.

If you submit a Find Your Car in Japan request, we use the model, specification, budget, kilometre preference, listing URL and other details you provide to understand your brief, identify possible vehicles and discuss options with you. Submitting a request does not commit you to a purchase or auction bid.

Our current website forms do not accept file uploads. If you later email an auction sheet, screenshot or other reference material, we may keep and review it as part of your enquiry. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal information in those files.

5. Finance, trade-ins and servicing

Finance enquiries are handled privately by Red Seal outside our current website forms. If you ask us to arrange finance, we may discuss your needs directly and, with your agreement, introduce you to an independent broker or provider. Our website forms do not collect credit applications or financial documents. A broker or provider handles information it collects under its own privacy policy.

For a trade-in or vehicle purchase enquiry, we may use details you provide about registration, kilometres, condition, specification, history or photographs to assess the vehicle and arrange an inspection. For servicing, repairs or parts enquiries, we may use your contact details and information about the vehicle and requested work.

6. Website data and third-party services

Our website and hosting services may record technical data such as your IP address, browser or device information, pages requested and time of access for operation, security and troubleshooting. WordPress and website tools may use functional cookies. Our forms use built-in checks to reduce spam; we have not enabled a third-party CAPTCHA service on the current forms.

The Contact page embeds Google Maps. Loading the map connects your browser to Google, which may receive technical information and apply its own privacy practices. The site also uses WordPress, WPForms and Hostinger services for website and form operation. We will review this policy when analytics or advertising tracking is introduced.

External websites linked from Red Seal have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

7. Disclosure and overseas services

We may disclose relevant information where reasonably needed to operate the website and business, complete a requested transaction or meet legal obligations. Recipients may include website and email providers, a finance broker or provider you ask to contact, vehicle transport or compliance providers, professional advisers and government authorities where required.

Under our current sourcing process, we do not send customer personal information to our Japanese partners. We may discuss vehicle requirements without identifying the customer. Some website and communication providers may process information outside Australia; we do not represent that all website or email data remains in Australia.

8. Storage and security

Website form submissions are sent to our business email. We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including business, legal, accounting and regulatory requirements.

Red Seal takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Marketing communications

Messages about an active enquiry or transaction are separate from marketing. We do not currently operate a website newsletter sign-up or a marketing SMS list. If we introduce marketing communications in future, you will be able to ask us to stop.

10. Access and correction

You may contact us to request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. Email info@redsealjdm.com.au. We may need to verify your identity and retain information where business or legal obligations require it.
